PROMISE

Promise: The Sgt. Lane Chronicles is a web series utilizing a "COPS-style" format to showcase the events leading up to the feature film PROMISE. In the web series Ted and Jack, film students at Northern Arizona University, follow a State Trooper, Sgt. Lane, as he uncovers a shocking crime occurring in the religious community of the Fundamentalist Latter Day Saints.

EPISODE 1: Ted and Jack, film students at Northern Arizona University, follow a member of the Arizona Department of Public Safety, Sgt. Lane, on his daily patrols and witness his first encounter with Christopher, a young man who has been banished from a nearby religious community.

EPISODE 2: While filming Sgt. Lane for a second day, the monotony of state police work is broken when Sgt. Lane once again comes across the FLDS-outcast Christopher and must protect him from a mysterious assailant.

EPISODE 3: Sgt. Lane's attempts to get Christopher to come clean on his situation finally bear fruit on the third day as the desperate, young, FLDS outcast calls Sgt. Lane and offers him a chance at uncovering a deviant crime within the FLDS community.

EPISODE 4: On their final day with the dedicated trooper the film crew records Sgt. Lane's attempts to obtain a warrant of the FLDS community from his Lieutenant, and Christopher reports that his attempts to aid Sgt. Lane's investigation have attracted the attention of the community's brutal enforcers.
